Dear friends,
The famous quote from Eleanor Roosevelt that I used to open the initial letter I wrote for this website a few years ago is always relevant, no matter where our dreams take us.
But dreams are achieved, fizzle or fade and, hopefully, other dreams take their place. Envelop the moment...was a dream come true and I will always be grateful for 1) the will to want to do it, 2) the freedom and resources
to make it happen, and 3) the positive support I received from my family, dear friends and a small group of loyal customers along the way. However, that said, dreams that come to fruition also need to have a basis in reality. Economically, it doesn't make sense to keep this dream alive in the sense it was first conceived. That doesn't mean it goes away; it just takes on a new form of existence. From a time & commitment perspective, it's clear that my consulting business, The Gallagher Group, which, thankfully, continues to grow and prosper in the face of a serious recession, requires more of my attention than ever in this new global and digital marketplace. For these reasons, the retail location in lovely downtown Amesbury will close in September and Envelop the moment...will be located in my home in a 3rd floor loft space that has been adapted for this purpose. Your visits are more than welcome and will be by appointment by calling 978-886-2561 or emailing trisha@envelopthemoment.com (24 hours notice is appreciated).
I realize having a small card, stationery and book shop out of one's home, as a side business, is much different than a retail experience but I actually welcome that and hope you will too! If you would like to stay on our mailing list,we will be sure to keep you posted of our re-opening in Bradford, MA (right near the old college). I anticipate this will be toward the end of October. (If you choose to take your name off our mailing list, of course, we will respect your wishes immediately.) We plan to have at least 2 invitation only events a year and will always offer all books and custom stationery ordered thru us at 20% off and gifts and cards at 30% discount to our exclusive customer list. We think this will be an exciting opportunity and an enjoyable experience for all and hope you will tell your friends to sign up for our mailing list at envelopthemoment.com so they can Envelop the moment too!
